It has been said that renewable energy is the key to the future. With oil prices skyrocketing, and the fact that most of the Earth’s fossil fuel stores are nearly depleted, we need to be able to come up with a viable alternative.

And over the years, there have been a lot of alternatives suggested – solar power, wind power, geothermal – but they’re either localized energy sources, or not powerful enough to be able to supply energy wherever it is needed.

What we need is a new energy source that is both renewable and reliable.

In this new video by BlackLight, Inc., they introduce a new source of renewable energy. It is a hydrogen-based compound, meaning that its basic component is water.

Seeing that water makes up 75 percent of the Earth’s surface, this is definitely something to look into. If this new fuel works – and tests made in Rowan University suggests that it does – we may have the most reliable renewable energy source right here.
