The accounts of his personal life were gathered from his correspondence with Robert and Katharine Johnson, a husband and wife, both close friends of Tesla. Robert Johnson was a poet and editor of the magazine Century, while it was speculated that Tesla and Katharine had a deep love for each other.
The story evolved around Tesla’s life in New York during 1890s and it dealt not only with his lonely personal life but also of the delicate love triangle story of the three main characters.
In this film, another part of his life was tackled; the War of Currents which Edison waged on the AC system that Tesla has invented.

Nikola Tesla was born on July 10, 1856 in the country now known as Yugoslavia. His father was a Serbian orthodox Priest, Milutin Tesla and his mother was Djuka Mandic was an inventor of household appliances.
Tesla’s collegiate education was taken at the Polytechnic Institute in Austria and the University of Prague. He first worked with a telephone company in Budafest in 1881 as an electrical engineer. He also worked in Paris under the Continental Edison Company before going to America.
